2024 APBA CONVENTION SUMMARY
The 2024 APBA Convention was held in Alpharetta, Georgia from Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23. The convention consisted of game company visits, game tutorial sessions, the convention awards dinner, APBA Hall of Fame Inductions, and various APBA game tournaments.
Game Tournaments
Baseball Tournament – Glenn Jackson’s 1968 Detroit Tigers defeated Kevin Cluff’s 2019 Houston Astros, 3 games to 1. There were 66 participants.
Over the Fence Tournament – Pete Simonelli’s 1954 Gil Hodges beat Chuck Sorce’s 1921 Babe Ruth, 18 to 13. There were 46 participants.
Football Tournament – Ray Dunlop’s 2022 Buffalo Bills defeated David Hawkes’s 2021 Dallas Cowboys, 27-24. There were 11 participants.
Hockey Tournaments – Steve Skoff’s 2022-23 Boston Bruins defeated Gilles Thibault‘s 1988-89 Calgary Flames, two games to none, by scores of 4-1 and 3-2. There were 14 participants.
Soccer Tournament – Craig Musselman’s 2015-16 Real Madrid defeated Tony Stevens’s 2015-16 Leister City by a 3-1 margin. There were 6 participants.
Par 3 Golf Tournament – Steve Schmidt finished -6 to win the tournament. There were 10 participants.
